Accept No Mediocre Life

I'm back to blogging again.

Am currently reading Accept No Mediocre Life by David Foster (not the one in the music industry).

"You're the one who decides to reject mediocrity as the standard by which you measure your performance." - David Foster.

"If the value of an article is dependent upon the price paid for it, Christ's death made our value skyrocket." - Erwin W. Lutzer, as quoted by Foster.

Had a great gym session yesterday! Thanks to Tiong Kun who orientated me to the gym equipment. I think he'd make a great gym instructor. Put a man in his element and you'll be surprised what he can do! The pain feels good. My body is aching from yesterday's workout.

Am really excited about this year and this semester. Great growth, new direction, new breakthroughs coming my way! God is so good. For the first time in a while, I'm happy again! Like from the bottom of my heart. I really am.

School's not bad too, great project mates and lecturers! I know it's gonna be challenging cos obviously, level-3 modules demand much more. But I will overcome!

I want to be an outstanding social worker in-the-making. It is not volunteer work. It is a profession. As Dr Tim always emphasizes, we need to be guided by theoretical framework(s), not just gut feeling.

Also purposed to speak up more. The people who change the world are the ones who dare to speak up. King David when he was young, spoke up against Goliath. "Who is this uncircumsised Philistine?". Jesus when he was young, was reasoning with the scribes and Pharisees in the synagogue.

There you go. Don't be mediocre. Don't be afraid to be outstanding. Don't blend in. You are not wallpaper. God has created you to be unique. Why do you want to blend in with everyone else and be invisible? You are the light of the world! A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
